1. The exact club and plan
Save the name and address of the location, the membership tier and the date of the quote. A chain-wide advertisement does not necessarily describe the offer at your chosen club. Anytime Fitness's U.S. FAQ explicitly says local fees and contract options vary.
2. Everything due at checkout
Our suggested approach is to list enrollment, initial dues and any other required first payment separately. Ask for an itemized total rather than relying on the headline price.
3. The recurring schedule
Write down each recurring amount and its due date, including any annual fee. Ask when a promotional price ends. Use those figures to build a first-year total and a renewal-year total.
4. The length of the commitment
Check whether a monthly payment buys a month-to-month plan or pays down a longer commitment. Crunch's FAQ describes both monthly options and plans with annual commitments. The billing frequency alone does not tell you the minimum term.
5. The amenities you need
Tour at your intended workout time. Confirm the equipment, class timetable, guest access and any childcare arrangements directly with the club. Ask which benefits belong to your selected tier and which cost extra.
6. The cancellation process
Before joining, ask the club to point to the cancellation section of the agreement. Record the accepted methods, notice deadline, possible termination amount and treatment of separate services. Keep a copy you can access without the gym app.
7. Your evidence of the offer
Save the agreement, checkout summary and promotion terms. If a staff member promises a waived charge or additional benefit, ask for it in writing before relying on it. These practical steps make later comparisons and account questions much easier.
